Can I book a collection during the weekend or a bank holiday?
It is possible to book a collection on a bank holiday in the pick-up country or during the weekend, upon the payment of a surcharge.
Can I book a van delivery with same day pick up for free?
It is possible to select a same day pickup when booking the van service, however you will have to pay an additional charge of €81.90.
Can I pick the collection time when booking a van with driver?
Yes, the collection occurs on the selected date with possibility of choosing a specific time frame. Your comments regarding the pick-up will be taken into consideration.
Can the van company collect or deliver in a remote area?
If you wish to use the Van delivery service with pick-up or delivery on an island, we would advise you to use the Individual Offer form to get exact pricing that includes the ferry cost from the mainland to the island as well as possible additional transport fees. This includes United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Monaco, Monte Carlo, the Balearic Islands, or any other European Economic Area outside the European Union member states. Shipping outside member states of the European Union may result in import fees and duties that need to be covered separately.
Do all vans include tail-lift?
When booking the van delivery service, you can pick between different types of vans. Only curtain-side vans can be equipped with a tail-lift, so make sure to choose this type of van if you plan to transport heavy or bulky items.
Do I have to pay a fee when requesting help for loading or unloading the van?
If you decide to book the add-on for help with loading or unloading, you will have to pay an extra fee. The extra charge for this add-on is visible throughout the booking process so you always know how much you will pay. Please have in mind that the shipper is responsible to bring the goods to the van’s proximity. Additionally, the driver will not go into the building or to the upper floors to carry the goods.
Do I have to pay extra to book a van collection during the weekend?
If you wish to have your shipment picked up during the weekend or a bank holiday in the pickup country you will have to pay an additional fee of €100.00 (plus VAT).
How do I know which van company will be performing the service?
Once your booking is confirmed with the van service provider, you will be able to get the driver’s name and license plates. The same vehicle that picks up your shipment will also be delivering it.
How long does the delivery by van take?
The estimated delivery time is calculated based on the transit times for vehicles suggested by Google maps. You should have in mind that the driver’s working regulation includes a rest every 9 hours of driving. You can also ask for a more exact estimation by email to our Logistics department or dedicated agent.
How will I recognise the van company?
You can use the information about the driver’s name and registration plates you received via email to identify the vehicle and the driver.
Will the driver assist me when loading and unloading the van?
You have complete control on how the goods will be loaded into the van. If you wish to request the driver’s help for loading or/and unloading, you should do so while booking the service online or directly contacting our agents. By not selecting this option, the driver is not obliged to assist you.
Will the van driver call me before the pick up or delivery?
You may be called by the main office of the van company once the driver arrives at your location (pick or delivery). Most times the van company will call in advance however we cannot guarantee this for every pick up and delivery. This service does not require a local phone number.
